LINSU Mourns Archbishop Francis
The Liberia National Student Union (LINSU) has extended its deepest condolence and be store honor to fallen Arch Bishop Michael K. Francis, who history of service to the Republic of Liberia as an educator, human right and Peace activist is replete with massive successes.
In a release issued yesterday in Monrovia, LINSU said, “We want to state unequivocally that the Arch Bishop Michael K. Francis died as a hero and an unwavering nationalist, who place his life on the line against hostile and tyrannically forces.
“It can be recorded in the documented annals of human history that when the nation was engulf with several challenges from the hands of backward and reactionary regimes who kept the critical voices and the masses of our people in the corridor of fear, the Archbishop was among those few vices who stood up to the faces of those perpetrating such impish act and question the abuse of power and the wrongful running of the state,” the released signed by Danise L. Dennis, Deputy Secretary for Press and Propaganda noted.
The fallen Arch bishop has left an impeccable record of maximum contribution during his duty of service in the Catholic Church which must never be forgotten by us the younger generation. We want to call on the Catholic Church to compile and document all of the life engagements and protect it against his enemies which would give future generation the opportunity to fully have an understanding of the heroic role play by this fire burn social activist. The National student movements view the death of Arch Bishop Michael Francis as a lost of a great voice.
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Student Union is calling on all conscious students of this country to consider the death of the Arch Bishop as a great lost to the critical mind and the country at large.
