The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) Women Training and Integration Project (WIN) has graduated 94 women in Cosmetology, Food Nutrition and Catering. According to LNRCS release, the graduation ceremony was the third cycle graduation of the WIN Project which certificated 50 women in Food & Catering, and 44 women in Cosmetology.
The Red Cross Women Training and Integration Project which is sponsored by the Spanish Municipality of Burgos through the Spanish Red Cross, and the Canadian Red Cross has also commenced its fourth cycle training with 150 Women enrolled.
The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) through its Women Training and Integration Project (WIN) empowers vulnerable women through psychosocial counseling, literacy and business education, skills training for economic empowerment and community development.
The WIN project provides exclusive opportunities for women to participate in activities that will improve their lives and contribute to the reduction of cases of domestic and sexual violence.
The project targets vulnerable women in Clara Town, Virginia, New Kru Town, Doe Community, Caldwell, and Logan Town who are trained in various skills in order to positively contribute to the development of their communities.
Since the launch of the Women Integration Project in July 2009, a total of 378 women have acquired skills in Tailoring, Cosmetology, Food Nutrition & Catering.
