LIMLJ To Stage Inter-High School Drama Competition

The Liberia Movie Union (LIMU) has planned to stage a day long inter-high schools drama competition in Monrovia.

The Inter-high schools competition which is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2013 on the Providence Island will feature Bra Komi High School, Soitiarnon High School, Susan Berry High and the Assemblies of God High school among others.

According to the President of the Liberia Movie Union, Sieh Thomas, the Inter-high schools Competition is intended to draw the interest of Liberian students to their cultural values and identity, emphasizing the need for Liberians to know who they truly are culturally.

The LIMU President noted that culture promotes the spirit of oneness and national unity. The Liberian Movie Union President maintained that the high school drama activities would likewise positively engage the minds of Liberian students and discourage them from negative practices, such s the “Super Fridays.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sieh Thomas is requesting official s of the Ministries of Education, Information, Culture and Tourism, as well as Youth and Sports and all stakeholders to be in full attendance.
